When developing the Aluminium radiator for my model Zetec 4/4, I know that Peter Mulberry had quite a challenge.
The way MMC had mounted the original was not very clever and as a result the Mulfab solution involved some additional plumbing and bracketry.
The radiator performs brilliantly, however on occasion the odd drip of coolant lands on the floor.
If I can be bothered, I will crawl around and tighten a few jubilee clips, but the mild incontinence tends to re-occur after a while.
One of my neighbours owns a lovely old English white 1958 MGA Coupé. When chatting to him about such issues, his response was.

“Don’t worry, it’s not leaking, it’s just marking its territory”

Genius!

just marking its territory..... like that.

Just wish I could find where the water is going to in my 4/4. Been looking for a long time, rad reconed, new hoses etc, still no joy

Had similar with my SiFab rad installation. Solution was to identify with paper toweling exactly where it's leaking from and if nipping up hose clips doesn't work then add another, but avoiding lining up adjusters despite lack of symmetry wink

Agreed, that's the secret cure - 2 clips rotated so the worm is 180 deg to the other,

On rough alloy castings with a water stub, I rub a thin film of blue Hylomar around it before squeezing the hose on, works a treat

I've experienced the same thing with aftermarket aluminum radiators.
I would like it if there were a supplier of brazed brass coolers. That would probably be the most durable.
They could then also launch a series for the troubled CX drivers.

The Hylomar trick I have used in the past. I think that often the problem is not the alloy rad’ but the use of silicone hoses that can be difficult to seal using worm drive clips that do not maintain constant pressure as the hose relaxes. The advantage of old fashioned rubber hoses is that they are often slightly springy and also tend to bond to the stubs.

You can get up-market jubilee type clips with a continuous inner band ... bit more expensive but good for silicone hoses.

Some great tips here to solve the current incontinence, for which, many thanks.
However, over the years, I have developed a solution.
A small bottle of ready mixed coolant, kept behind the seats, to top up as necessary.
