Does anyone know which if any Sat Nav connect via Bluetooth directly to the cars amp / speakers. I have an older garmin with Bluetooth but it won’t let me connect to my plus6 direct only a phone.

Why not use waze on your phone then. It's free & it works

I use my phone in the UK but I am touring around the Italian Lakes in September and the roaming charges will be high so thought I would get a sat nav so as not to overdo the data on my phone.

Tom Tom do an app for iPhone that loads all maps onto the phone to save using data. Really good traffic and speed camera alerts. Yearly subscription is not to expensive nd it does connect to a plus 6 Bluetooth connection

There are a couple of ways of doing it if you have a spare handset. Works for both iOS and Android.
Get either a PAYG monthly SIM from the UK with good roaming or get a local SIM when you are in region and fit it into the spare.
Keep your normal phone on your UK number and check the roaming options.

3 do some great bundles that would cover you. Go Roam is their name for EU roaming.

They are usually very good if you pop into a shop and ask for the specific use case.

I don't work for them but have generally found their EU stuff better priced and more flexible.

Then just use Waze/GoogleMaps/etc

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Just be aware - I've just had three days in the Peak District (Monyash/Hartington/Pomeroy etc) with Duke of Edinburgh expedition.

Most of the locations had absolutely zero vodafone signal. I usually take my Tom Tom, but thought I'd rely on my phone this time. Navigation was a real ballache - I'm usually single crewed in a minibus, so hard to map read and drive safely at the same time.

Next time will take the Tom Tom just in case.....

I tried various phone mounts before purchasing the latest Garmin. It’s a dedicated device and doesn’t rely on having mobile signal. It also has full European mapping and doesn’t get too distracted by all of the stuff your phone connects to. Also works with car Bluetooth.
Suction cup mount to painted dash just to the right of the glove box.

Hi Rich, I use the TomTom GO app on my iPhone which works beautifully with the Plus Four with the BT audio system.

Thanks Andy I will check it out as I have failed with finding a sat nav that pairs up with my plus6.
What is the BT audio system ? Is that your Bluetooth ? Mine comes up as “musicstream”
