I know there are loads of people here that enjoy engineering, aviation, motorsport and watches. So without further ado, here is a shameless plug for my friends over at Zero West watches in Emsworth.
Graham and Andrew run the company from an old boat house in Emsworth. They are producing some really great pieces that some of you may find very interesting. Their watches / range are linked individually to differing engineering, aviation & motorsport events. Some of which have parts incorporated in the watch from those events. One of their watches for example, (the DBR1) has a disc wire cut from the drive shaft of the the winning car at the 1958 TT at Goodwood, driven By Stirling Moss and Tony Brooks. The same car went on to win the 1959 Le Mans 24 hours with Carroll Shelby at the wheel. This disc is then engraved and set withing the watch under the sapphire crystal.
Anyway. Without wishing to ramble on, here is the link to their website ZERO WEST WATCHES
So full disclosure. I do a bit of work for ZW (though not anything to do with their watches) Over that time we have become quite friendly. I enjoy what they do and how they conduct business. They're basically two great guys with a passion for what they do that deserve a shout out. I havent been asked to post this nor am I getting paid to do so !!
Check them out, maybe you will like what they do
