In a consultation that ends on 21st September 2022, it has proposed ending sales of non-zero-emission L-category (that’s us) vehicle sales by 2035 and 2030 for other specified vehicles.
L-category vehicles are a classification of lightweight vehicles (PLVs) with two, three, or four wheels separated into seven groups (we are L5). The groups are based on weight, power output, number of wheels, and seating layout. L-category vehicles include mopeds, motorcycles, motor tricycles, quad bikes, and quadricycles.
L-category vehicles make up around 3.3% of licensed vehicles in the UK and are responsible for just 0.4% of transport’s greenhouse gas emissions.

No real surprise and I'm sure we can all predict the outcome of the "consultation"

We saw this at FoS...could be our next three wheeler - one each required - they hope to have it in sale in the UK within 12-18 months....pity the electric M3W never progressed

But given the placement of the Super 3 gas tanks under the seat, it is easy to see where Morgan could revive the electric three wheeler without a major redesign of the current platform.

Steve Morris commented at the launch that it's designed to accept alternative drive trains / powerplants which is good future proofing... hopefully
