Spotted today in Felixstowe the Ever Arm (data). 23992 TEUs means it can carry 23,992 twenty foot containers.
The beach was empty as we approached.

According to Wicki there are another six "Ever" ships under construction carrying 24,004 TEU. Only beats the Arm by 12 containers but a seventh of this series went into service on 22nd June this year pushing the Arm and it's five sister ships into second place. Where will it all end!

Please excuse the total ignorance of this area (and several others) but how many people would be working on board something that size when it is floating between on/offload ?

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Gosh, what a big ‘un!
Guess they’re trying to unload before the dock strikes happen…

Damn I'll tell the nerd at the port who has a list of the biggies & videos them in & out. Or maybe the 24000 is just like cars where a 2.93 l is a 3 l?

Mind you 12 containers per trip at what $1500 a trip is not peanuts.

Thanks for that John, that really is a monster and that number of containers take some getting your head around.
It would be very interesting to know what they value the cargo at from the Bill of lading for Insurance purposes.

No your nerd was spot on with the "Arms" TEU. There is now a newer group of A class ships though.

Whatever, the pics are impressive John.
