Hi all,

Today Monty is getting new clear indicator lenses, the kit I bought from Librands comes with clear side repeaters and I'm unsure on the removal & fitting procedure for these little chaps?

They look like a simple push fit but before I go at it like a bull in a china shop can someone confirm the removal and fitting technique please?

They just push out with a little wiggling and pressing of plastic tangs from the inside of wing. Note that some have a gasket on the outer side the residue of which may need careful cleaning off with solvent that doesn't damage paintwork. I think I used a rag lightly soaked in white spirit.

You may find the new ones have an adhesive gasket with paper protection which requires peeling off before fitting with care to ensure orientation before pushing fully home.

Also worth noting that if like me you are less than rigorous with your under-body cleaning and you use your car in all weathers, the back of the unit will be caked in dried-on road dirt. It's therefore a good idea to give the whole a thorough cleaning before you pull it out.

Thanks chaps, no peel and stick gasket on mine though, I'll feel for the claw clip under the wing.

@RichardV6.. Can you clarify your orientation comment please, looking at the little repeaters they're a universal dome design so other than some OCD text positioning it wouldn't matter what orientation you fitted them?

Are you referring to the direction the wires take as I note they exit at 90 degrees to the lamp body?

Cheers, Dave.

No Dave, simply on mine the LED element is aligned to be horizontal - shades of OCD wink

BTW you may find the male bullet connectors on replacements are a tad smaller than OE requiring you nip up loom female part to ensure tight fit. Dob on a little dielectric grease to keep water out after connecting.

All done chaps...

A point of note is the rubber top hats on the new clear repeaters from Librands were too large so I needed to recycle the old ones fron the original orange repeaters.

Looks good. Think I need to do mine now as I have clear indicators all round except these.

I think they are Fiat Barchetta units.

At least a couple of us got them from Car Builder Solutions. I used SR19C which don't need bezel.
