Land Rover of that period used 3BA. Check major diameter if you have a sample, it should be 4.1mm or 0.1614 inch.

Ratler, welcome to the forum. Not meant in a rude manner it would be better posting this in the right section. This section is for the Aero based Aluminium cars so few readers are as likely to know that one?

Please excuse me not knowing my M3W's from my early models I am guessing a M3W ? Not heard of a 59 DHC.

You are likely to get a broader range of readers seeing it.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Is not the Snobmog specifically the 4 seater DHC? rather than all DHCs (The Photo IS a Snobmog however)

Brian, yes, the 'SnobMOG' moniker was specific to the 4-seater Drop Head Coupes (as I understand it, only 51 or so manufactured), like the gray and green one shown. They actually have a boot cover and the spare wheel and tire are hidden inside!!

The 2-Seater version of the Drop Head Coupe (DHC) is usually just referred to as a Coupe. There were 161 (or so) 4/4 Series 1 DHCs produced (only some 57 before WWII).

A single 4/4 Series 3 DHC was produced for Peter's sister, Stella, but I have no idea where it is now.

There were roughly 433 Cowled Rad 2-Seater Plus 4 (Triumph Engined) DHCs and some 117 Flat Rad Plus 4 (Triumph/Vanguard Engined) DHCs. The factory produced only one Plus 8 DHC, for Peter Morgan's wife Jane, which had an automatic transmission and is retained by the factory.

From what I understand, all told, some 765 DHCs were produced (1938-1969), but only some 165 remain.

Cheers,
Mark
