Difficult decisions...  I have spent 15 minutes going back and forth through them. A brilliant job done to all those who entered. Likewise. Do you judge on 'capturing the moment', 'composition', 'quality of the photograph - depth of field etc' ......  Perhaps it is just as well I did not enter any pictures, I would not like to see my pictures beside these.

Good stuff. I've voted now - tough choice. In the mixed topic one I confess in the end to being swayed by the tugging on my heart strings. The flat coated retriever reminded me so much of my own beautiful & much loved flattie who sadly died nearly 2 years ago. I still miss her every day.

My collie-X went just on 7 years ago and I still miss him...
At least the Morgan is some compensation.

And the winners are: - Ivo in the category of 'This Petrol Emotion'' for Autumn, with 35% of the overall votes. and... Guenter for At the grid in the 'Mixed Topic Photos' category, with 26% of the overall votes. Congratulations to both and thank you to all those that took the time to take part in the competition and those that voted. As has been said by many, the quality of the photos this year made the voting process very challenging.

Ivo's Geoffrey has taken pride of place in the 'Morgan Photo Gallery' for 3-years running - and deservedly so! I have updated the 'General Photo Gallery' with Guenter's beauty, also known as At the grid and I think she suits it very well. As before, congratulations to the winners and well done to all those who entered and made the judging as challenging as it was. Roll on the 2012 competition
