I need some help that means I have some questions confused2:

The wire to the horn slip ring is broken because the slipring has loosened.

How was the ring fixed? Glued?

Also the thin copper sheet on the switches is bent and beginning to break.

So I am afraid I have to buy the whole plastic part where Indicator lever and windscreen wiper lever ?

I‘ve got the same problem.

Usual the metal is „pressfitted“. I fitted a new wire („gelötet“) and glue the ring at the plastic.

I had a similar problem on my +8. The ring loosened, wich caused some interesting problems with the horn. I glued it back on.

Greetings from Sweden.

Hello Bjorn,

In the meantime, the the small contact under the slip ring has also broken.

When I'm back in Germany, I'll have to see if I have a spare part on the shelf.

I am looking for the best glue to fix the slip ring on the Alluminium Boss.
Aluminium is a bit more difficult to glue, and the glue should really hold and not stick immediately so that the slip ring can still be aligned well.

Unfortunately, Motolita's answer about the glue "suggested either Evo Stick or Fast Bond“ didn't help, because I couldn't find any glue in Germany with the described designations.

Which glue did you use and what experience did you have with it?

In cause of my bad English the answer to Bernd in German.

And now:

Usual the contactring sit in a plastic. This plastic holds the ring by its construction.

But your contactring looks a little strange, as a bad DIY.

If you‘ve got the original plastic/metalconstruction every clue will work, the best in my eyes would be Pattex.

My boss looks different.

It looks like the contactring is clued on leather? You can clue leather/metal with Pattex. Or: WÜRTH SprĂŒhkleber super.

NS: ignore my email, sorry.

It's a layer of natural cork, as an electrical insulator

A good 'contact adhesive' should work, the EvoStik referred to is a well known UK brand name

Thank you! Now I understand!

As Service from Moto-Lita answered "I have checked with the factory and they have suggested either Evo Stick or Fast Bond."

I was looking for both "Evo Stick" and "Fast bond". Without result!

Now I found "Evo-Stik Impact" in GB via Amazon. I hope that is the right one.

Here in Germany "Evo Stik" is unknown.

Thank you again! cheers

Can not say that I remember what I used to glue the ring back on. your picture looks similar to what I have.
I probably used some 2 component stuff I had at home.

Greetings from Sweden.
