No Richard. The missing bit was not in the box. Damaged before or during picking and not noticed by Ford hence my frustration

Wow thought it looked very familiar exact same one on my Volvo (built when Ford were in charge) they are well known for causing issues-but cheaper to buy from Ford than Volvo here.

Well I waited in all day for DHL to collect it. No show. Ford are useless as far as I can see

Would be interesting to see the price difference between Morgan and Ford for the same part…

On two occasions where I have been given the run around by pigmies in huge companies I have used the internet to establish who the king-pin is. For Ford the MD is Lisa Brankin.

I then check if they are on Linkedin. She is!

If they are, I send them a message from my Linkedin account to theirs on the basis of a Constructive message of "I am making you aware of the appaling service I am getting from your Company". (Providing details of event and people previously dealt with).

Highlighting the point that someone in the relevant company is responsible for Customer facing service.

The Linkedin messages are person to person and usually cuts out Secretaries etc etc.

On both occasions, after previous months of email ping-pong the issues (Substantial Cruise Refunds) were resolved and paid with compensation within a week.

In both cases I got a really positive and contructive response from the Senior Exec I had contacted.

I appreciate your tank may not be on the same scale but a bit of research on who is the Ford Logistics/Spares Director or even Manager of the Depot a Linkedin message cuts through all the crap.

PS. You have to have a Linkedin account.
Ian

Whatever happened to the good old days of going down the spares counter at your local dealers?

Mind you, having said that, I was once banned from spares counter at ERF for dragging the stores man over the counter by his tie and then stapling his tie to the counter.

I am sorry Arwyn, but you cannot leave this here without giving us a bit more detail as to his failing.
