Thank you for the explanation!
Actually, it is the beginning of our Morgan joy.
On one of our motorhome tours (2013) through Norway, three great looking "open cars" passed us one day at the place "Atnbrua".
I didn't know which brand it was - I had never heard of Morgan or seen a Morgan before.
I could only tell that they were the same make and that the occupants of one car had a blanket over their knees.
In 2014 we also had a Morgan and planned: A tour with the 4/4 through Norway.
For this, I planned some small handicrafts.
Among other things, I remembered the cold that can also occur in Norway in summer and: The blankets of the Norwegian Morgan drivers.
Long story short:
To make better use of the warm air from the heater, I bought fleece fabric and sewed a blanket for two. I doubled the fabric and joined it with press studs.
This way we have a blanket that is thicker above the knees but - when unfolded - can also be used as a "normal" blanket to sit on or cover up.
I then made cuts in this blanket for the gearstick lever and the handbrake.
