Whilst parts of Italy are suffering disastrous storms here in the north we are experiencing an Indian summer. It is a bit worrying actually because if it continues on like last year it will be another very dry winter with all of the ecological problems that that causes, including water for agriculture.
In any case we decided to take advantage of a fine day to go for a run to the other side of the lake and up into the mountains to Doso del Liro where we had lunch at the Bar Trattoria La Madonnina.
Alis took a few photos.

Ploughman's lunch Italian style, a selection of local cheese, cured meat, salame and pickles, plus, of course, half a litre of good red wine and some bread.
