2005 US Aero were the same as a UK Series 2.

Modern VW Beetle.

Be gentle fitting them as too much tension in the mounting can crack the glass from the body.

Some gratuitous S2 pictures for the sake of it.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

and don't forget that ,with the VW Beetle lights -

VW N/S is Morgan O/S and VW O/S is Morgan N/S

- not confusing at all doh

I would also echo Alistair's advice re. over tightening; it is very easy to split the grey rubber/plastic seal if too much tension is applied.

I seem to recall that Nick had real difficulty in sourcing new replacements a year or so back;I don't know if the supply has improved.....

If you want genuine ones be prepared to spend 6 months searching far and wide... if you don't mind aftermarket alternatives they can be sourced easily enough last time I looked.

Most will require a bit of filing to fit flush against the wings, otherwise they can sit a bit proud in places.

Hopefully mine are ok when I eventually drive it, had to do them up tight to get a nice flush fitting!

Not suitable in this particular case, but if anyone needs them I have a pair of early BMW mini headlights, free to good home.

Probably best to pop to you local friendly MOT chap when the lightpods have bedded in, to have the headlight aim checked

Hi Ewan, have sent you a PM as will be fault-finding a headlamp failure on my 2015 Aero Coupe next week.

Absolutely, any new lights/bulbs will need a proper allignment.

In all honesty I haven't driven it on the road in coming up for a year, as I have other bits and pieces planned - but family life is in the way at the moment, so its on the to do list..

Well my headlamp 'failure' on the 2015 Aero Coupe turned out to be quite simple. Morgan Works had not plugged it back in properly after the last service visit and the connector was dangling around in the wheelarch! It took longer to jack the car up and take the wheel off than fix the issue. Annoying but glad it was as simple as that. Works also conspired to not adjust the locks correctly after some work, as the passenger door never locked and the driver door would not unlock. There is a very curious 'adjustment' system to get the actuator rod in literally just the right place. I am sure the factory are used to it but took a lot of trial and error.
