If anyone was going to enjoy that I thought it might be you Colin...(-: While watching it I did wonder what car I would chose to attempt such a journey... What would be you pic Colin of any car you wish from any era..?

The guys on the Trike get top marks, amazing feat.

The roll over was painful to watch, it took some amount of determination to get back in it and carry on after that, though in truth top marks to all those who had the degree of courage and determination to even take part, I`m not sure I could have done it even when young and reasonably fit..!

I saw there was even a Jensen Interceptor taking part, Jeez I remember putting £60 worth of petrol through mine without leaving the garage during it`s restoration, all be it during the UK fuel crisis in the 70`s. The thought of fuelling it`s 6276cc carb fed V8 from PtoP would break the bank..!!!

We have covered a few back road and farm track miles in Europe in the old +8, the roughest of which was in Spain on a journey from Coin to Rhonda, a couple links to pics attached.

Great film.
Not sure which car I would choose maybe the Peugeot .?
Now I know why these rallies are so expensive to enter !

Thank you for sharing.

I too am not sure which car I would choose. Candidates are the Fangio replicas, the Bentley and (of course) - the Morgan.

Someone was in a +8 … didn’t see if they finished flag but hope so. But given the Mongolia leg you would seriously want to upgrade the suspension and ground clearance - that looked seriously challenging. And take a lot of spares!

Actually George a few years ago a Morgan pal in Australia was going to enter his Mk5 Jaguar after restoration but it turned into a concourse job so the idea was dropped but I would have co-driven it.

For choice it would have to be a Mk1 Escort RS2000 ‘BigWing’ and I am guessing you know me well enough to put money on that ;-).

I have done some 3 day and night events and that was enough, the endurance these guys and gals had was impressive.

Safe miles buddy
Colin
