What's the relevance of the little yellow disc on the forward edge of the drivers door ? Looks like some weird PDI check marker ?

What's the relevance of the little yellow disc on the forward edge of the drivers door ? Looks like some weird PDI check marker ? It's a 1962 Le Mans thing - Yellow circle on the side…indicated cars eligible for the FIA GT World Championship
