Long story but please read if you’re interested

A friend of a friend decided to sell his 2006 plus 4 which I saw at a local show. I was smitten by the comfy seats and smart interior which got me thinking about trading my plus 8.

After dithering for a while I decided to advertise it on car and classics, they’ve never let me down before so I placed an ad late in December just to ‘test the water’. I had 4-5 promising responses including one from a fairly local chap who came to view the car, liked it and paid a deposit. To cut the story short, after a month of delays he finally decided his wife wouldn’t be able to get in or out of it and pulled out of the sale. In the meantime I’d refused two ‘over the phone’ dealer offers at asking price minus 10-15%. The plus 4 has now been moved on to a dealer and is for sale at £7k more than my acquaintance was asking.

This is the ad wording on CandC

Sadly the agreed sale fell through as the buyer felt this would unsuitable for his wife so it’s back for sale
My car for just under 4 years and only for sale because I've seen a car I'd like and I don't have space for an extra car. This is the 3. 9 efi version with approx 200+ bhp. 64500miles. MOT until October 23
Bought from a dealer supposedly in fully checked condition but subsequently had over £3000 spent including cooling and suspension work. Now needs for nothing and is ready to use and very reliable.
Has had upgrades to cooling, steering and suspension and now makes a smooth and comfortable driver (for a Morgan). Heated seats and a decent heater make it comfortable even in winter.
Previous owner had librands extractor exhaust and roll bar fitted for extra performance and safety.
Cosmetically it has a few stone chips and age related marks so this isn't a garage queen but a very presentable and very usable Morgan Plus 8.
I believe its the cheapest Plus 8 of this standard

The work mentioned has all been covered on here and I’ve nothing to hide. SiFab Ali rad kit, new king pins, AVOs all round, brake reaction bars, damper blades, bump stops, heated seats and more. I think it might benefit from a few hours with a specialist who can ‘set it up’ after I fitted new parts to the ignition and fuel systems last year. Coil, ignition amplifier, leads, idle stepper motor, fuel temp sensor.

I’d still like a post 2000 plus four and expect close to £30k for my plus 8

If anyone is interested I’ve a fact sheet I can email and plenty of photos too

Thanks for reading

Gary

Stick it in an online auction site

There was a really ratty tatty plus 8 just sold for 28k. A 78 iirc.
