Just a quick shout-out to all TM'ers in New Zealand.
I trust you are all safe after the horrific flooding, particularly around Auckland.

"Normal" winter floods can be bad enough but this looks horrific and more rain is forecast. Been a difficult few months with rain and snow in the US and now NZ and I moan if we get 2 or 3 inches of rain here.

Not the best few days here, I have never seen anything like it , while out checking on boats locally the water went through my garage and again last night, luckily only up to tyre level but the damage around Auckland is huge.

Looked pretty awful on the news reports I've seen. Stay safe everyone.

We normally go out to NZ in January but did not go this year due to 100%.price hike on the fight, looking at the damage caused we really feel it for our Kiwi mates

I have friends living on Norfolk Island.
They managed to avoid the worst of the cyclone but now it looks like heading for New Zealand.

Heavy rain and strong winds in Auckland atm. Message from our son. Expecting worse to come.

Son and daughter-in-law so far OK, living in Huia.

They are in the process of having a new house built and (thank goodness) have the roof and windows already in place.
However, neither are able to get to work today, due to land slips.
