Hi Trev, Not wishing to be pedantic, but the trad models were “Plus 4“ and the newer CX range are “Plus Four”. I only offer this as if you are trying to compare notes with others in the future, it’s obviously important that we are all singing from the same hymn sheet. Personally, with the number of serious issues that have arisen with the CX range together with the price, has convinced me to stay with my trad plus4.

Welcome Trev. I must say I never drove a CX model but nevertheless my thoughts. One Q. have you experienced any other Trad Morgan before your 2019 CX model? Just curious if you can compare the ride of the CX series with any older Morgan model because what for most former Trad owners seems to be a significant addition regarding the comfort plus of a CX model could be a step down for you when you come from more regular modern sports cars. I am not sure if the suspension, or changes of it, are the only possible reason why the feel of comfort could have bettered during the built years. When I recall it right the many times noted improvement of the seats were a significant point to enhance the comfort like many posts will state in this forum section.

Hi Trev I was fortunate in 2020 to have both a 2018 Plus4 (automatic) and a new 2020 Plus Six. We loved the Plus 4 - the automatic box made it a very sleek car to drive, however when the Plus Six was announced I went and ordered one of the 50 launch models. Hence I had for short time both the Plus4 and the Plus Six. With the Plus 4 after driving more than100 miles my arms and whole body was well shaken such is the nature of the traditional sliding pillar suspension that you have experienced. With the Plus Six and Plus Four you have double wishbone suspension and a TOTALLY different car to drive. After my first drive I declared that this was certainly not the Morgan I had experienced in three previous cars. The car in comparison to my other Morgans .is a dream to drive. I can drive for say 300 miles and get out of the car in great shape. And since replacing the suspension units a great handling car.
By the time MMC produced the Plus Four they had sorted out all the suspension such that most experts say it cannot or does not need any changes. If I was in the market for another Morgan the M23 Plus Four would be the only car I would consider! Kerry

Hi Trev, welcome to TM from another newbie ! I assume that you drove a Plus 4 from 2019 ("Trad") with the original traditional steel frame before, correct? The "new" Plus Four is built since mid of 2020 with the CX chassis and has a total different handling than the older ones (as also described before). I deliberately decided to buy a CX platform Plus Four (my one is from 2021) as I wanted "some kind of suspension" ... Coming from a Porsche Boxster (981) I am pretty happy with the handling and chassis comfort of my Plus Four. The MY2023 "Plus Series" got now further improvements on the chassis and brakes and has now also electronic stability system which my one does not have yet. As the new cars were just introduced I assume that not many people here on TM (probably no one) could tell you how the handling changed from the former Plus Four (CX). Best for you would be probably to utilize the "strong dollar" and fly to Malvern in spring to drive a new MY23 Plus Four as part of the Morgan Experience and get a real feeling, if the ordering of this new car would fit to you . Good luck!
Jens
