I am about to buy 4 new tyres for my 1979 4/4 they will go on a 5.5j x 15 minilites, currently I have 165 x 15 Firestone f560, can anyone recommend a make/supplier I should consider, I am not looking at hard wearing as I do minimal mileage per year.

I also have the T Trac 2 in this size, let's just say they are the best of a bad lot of tyres available in this size!

I just paid that each for four Michelin Cross Climate tyres for the T-Roc, plus fitting at 26€ a corner!

Another vote for T-Track 2.

In several posts this tires are highly recommended.

It was around 2016 when I bought my first set of T-Track 2 tyres and since that time some other 4/4 drivers are as satisfied as I am. I am now on my second set. In difference to the old thread below the other brands now also show a „B“ for the performance in the wet but I still believe that the T-Track 2 is even today one of the best choices.

There have been some massive increases in tyre prices - I paid £61 for an Avon fitted via blackcircles two years ago, same tyre today is £92. I appreciate that things gp up, but 50% in two years is a bit steep. Shopped around but same price at most online outlets. Went for a cheaper tyre in the end.

Camskill had them in stock, I phoned DT who didn't, but could get them in two days at a better price. I bought from DT, so the tyres do exist.

It should be easier to find them now, over the Covid lockdown, tyre production was restricted and only produced in more popular sizes, which was not our beloved 165/80/15!

Is that £100 per tyre? If so you must be looking at the Sprint Classic, which is about £100 more than the T-TTrac 2.

I bought 4 TTrack-2s 7 years ago for £221, now they would be about £280 from Black Circles.

No it was a £100 increase on 4. I have now brought them from Demon Tweeks for £248 delivered
