2009 4/4 Sport.Drove to the monthly noggin the other night, the weather was awful, cold, wet the gritters were out,I should have had more sense and taken the tintop but I wanted to drive the Morgan. When it was time to drive home we discovered that the speedo was not registering and the mileage was now showing 30500 not 9102,which is its true reading ! Drove home guessing the speed and dumped the car in the garage (covered in salt!)Next day saw me with the dash out, checking all the wires, underbonnet fuses and relays, nothing to report.A Talk Morgan thread mentioned the speed sensor was on the end of the gearbox so I thought I,d give it a look.Tuns out that the wiring connector from the speed sensor pickup magnet was at fault,a quick clean and dry sorted the problem.I now have a speedo and the odometer is showing the correct mileage.Hope this may help someone in the future.
