Being obliged to put back my original engine following a mechanical problem with the transsexual engine, I took the opportunity to modify the oil filter support

I have had my three-wheeler for 10 years. I have never had an oil problem despite stops that lasted 3 months. For me, the problems with the oil tank which empties into the crankcase come either from the fuel pump. oil or oil filter valve, I have always used S&S oil filters on engines.

Behind the triangular plate is a reed valve that S&S told me was there to prevent dry sumping. Good luck getting a flat interface between the valve plate and the case.

I went directly into the plate with the breather after using the smaller hole on the case and I think it breathes better.

My first engine traveled more than 100,000 km and I never had a problem with oil deposits and oil leaks, to travel 100,000 km I only had camshaft with needle bearing and cylinder head gasket of both cylinders to be replaced for the engine, I reassure I had many other problems.

For the push rod tube O-rings, I reassembled them with viton seals from aliexpres, to test despite the fact that I have new ones in my stock.

for the seals I chose 41 mm outside by 3.5 mm and 34 mm by 2.5 m, and for the Throttle Body 65 by 1.5 mm.

I have just ordered a 0/10 bar oil pressure gauge and alert under 300 grams, to remove the original oil pressure warning light.

I'm for minimalism, it leaves space for the rest and avoids gasworks

I don't doubt you were told this by someone at S&S but I fail to see how the Reed valve that connects the crankcase breather pipe to the top of the oil tank can have anything to do with oil draining from the oil tank into the crankcase, it will have little or no oil in it when the engine is stopped. The only line from the oil tank to the engine that has a head of oil behind it when the engine is not running is the oil supply line. I suspect it is oil seeping through the oil pump that is the problem. The diagram of the breather system is on pages 4-8 and 4-9 of the S&S X-Wedge Service Manual.

Nice work with the "new" engine GLLOQ.
