On my LHD Plus 4, 2005 under the aluminium box. I want to fix a tool roll onto it which will involve rivets/screws but can't work out what lies beneath (above the passenger footwell)

Those 2 screws look like the security screws to retain the back of the ECU enclosure.

Watch where you drill…. scared

It's the passenger footwell. Stick your head under and you should be able to see.

Ah. Is there anyone who can stick a camera under and take a few snaps? Least you'd get an idea of spacing/size.

Whenever I have bought Shell engine oil from Opie Oils, it has come with a free grey zip up pouch about 10 inches long,, which has two strips of velcro already sewn to the back. I keep in it: cable ties, tape, wire, pliers, adjustable wrench, a couple of screwdrivers, spare relay plus other oddments. I stuck two strips of velcro onto the top of the footwell under the bonnet and it has stayed there with no issues.Better than drilling holes and no chance of water ingress.

BHM has a parts catalogue here. There is a pre 2005 catalogue.

That should show you. But please get someone to take a look or use a camera. In my 2014 roadster that area has fuses relays etc.

My ecu sat about 15mm below the under surface but there is also a connector and loom towards the front.

Ps -You won’t be able see from the underside the unless sheet rubber cover is removed, awkward....

On my previous Roadster I had the same layout, I bought the newer fusebox that sits there on later Mogs and usually houses all the banks of fuses, ECU and relays, when empty this gives loads of easily accessible storage for tools & spares (sorry don't have photo) whatever you fit just drill UP from below
