I have just come across a Visitor Centre brochure showing an EV3.
An online search https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/electric-morgan-ev3-due-roads-2018-120-mile-range and this video https://youtu.be/2Y7ghj-frns show that it made it to prototype / Geneva Show stage, anyone know why it was still-born ?

I believe two power train suppliers fell by the wayside, don't recall the details of the first but the second was Frazer Nash.

The company that MMC had contracted out the electrickery to went pop prior to anything tangible appearing is my recollection of the EV3.

p.s. Rog beat me to it..

The one prototype was basically more of a proof of concept and had a range of UP TO 30 miles!

As above two powertrain suppliers came and went so the project was quietly left to die.

An initial batch were sold through Selfridges (also founded in 1909) but none of these were built and all of the customers had their money refunded.

I expect the concept will be revived and wouldn't be surprised if an eSuper3 appeared.

I absolutely loved the design, sad they didn’t produce it (not their fault)

+1. And I don't really like either 3-wheelers or EV's.
Thanks all for the back story.

At 34Kw it was rather underpowered, would need at least 50Kw to equal M3W performance...

Hmmm - they chose the supplier that failed - so WAS their fault! Maybe they were ahead of their time - plenty of OEM retromod EV drivetrains around now...

That would be quite an easy build much easier than the EV motorcycle I'm currently working on, 60Kw hub motor, 40Kwh battery.
