Looks like Headley has been bought up by a conglomerate called Finch Broking, which is itself is part of a conglomerate called Ethos Broking. There's usually some teething issues when incompatible IT systems are forced to speak to each other in absorption process.
We (when I was in publishing) used to take over companies quite voraciously, and would always lose a few records while they were assimilated into the almighty 'SAP'. Usually took about 18 months to iron out all the issues.

Actually I need to correct my previous post. When they were first taken over a couple of years ago the quote for one of my cars doubled. I called them and they could do nothing. So I called the new ceo and he was a very decent bloke, agreed one more year at previous figure but explained to me that the profit they made on insuring my vehicle almost didn't cover the cost of issuing the paperwork. He was very reasonable about it. So in a way it was bottom line that started my misgivings. Since then though they seem to have become more mainstream, less specialist. Conversations with them no longer focussed around Morgan type ownership. Blanket corporate answers. Fewer insurance options. In frustration I called G and W and was treated to a bright, intelligent enthusiastic specialist so I went for that. I was a reluctant mover as I had found Headley faultless over many, many years until now. Nick

Just have to say that I was always keen to use Headley for no better reason than they are (or were) local to me, but the times I tried them they weren't competitive. It doesn't sound as if it's even worth asking them now. I had been with Heritage for quite a few years but shifted to RH at the last renewal.

I have always used Gott and Wynne. They seem to understand Morgans and I have always had excellent service from them and reasonable premiums.

I just got my renewal this morning. It was £327 and the new premium is £406. The big kick in the pants is I used to have roadside recovery and agreed value which I assume will then be extra on top.
It's Morgan's insurance which now are underwritten by Marketstudy Group and the insurance company is now Finch Insurance and no longer Healey Group as stated above.

My 1997 Plus4 is due for renewal. I used Footman James last year, which cost about £420 for an agreed value and 5000 miles. This year I tried Lancaster, they refused to answer the phone or respond to emails, website links did not work. Perhaps they have gone out of business? I am going with Footman James again. For about the same price.
