Mrs FT suggested going to Norwich in the Morgan - and who was I to argue? Dropped her off to look at sofas and I went to a motorcycle clothing shop to look at, you guessed it, motorcycle clothing. Absolutely perfect day for a drive in a Morgan!

Fun drive out to the Dolphin at Thorpeness with RichardV6, Hawki and my middle son. A good lunch then down to Aldeburgh for ice cream on the shingle beach.

And yes that house in the distance on first pic really is in the clouds being built on an old water tower. Available for rental see here.

Just back from a few days down south, oh boy our UK roads are getting busier by the day

Tuesday was Goodwood organised by Brands Hatch Morgan, there were 170+ Mogs there, and Mrs Cooperlady counted 104 on the grid for the lunch parade

My favourite car there was this early narrow bodied Plus 8 with a polished body, sounded fabulous on full chat

Visit to Amberley Museum (nr Arundel) organised by LOGMOG. About 25 cars attended. It was an excellent day enjoyed by all. Slightly spoilt on our return home when the LT lead from coil to distributor suddenly failed. Fortunately we were near to our son's, so a quick tow to his place where we managed to find the fault and effect a temporary repair.
Well worth a visit https://www.amberleymuseum.co.uk/

Certainly looked and sounded impressive as it flew past me on the straight heading into Madgwick! wink

David, seeing your two cars alongside would have been a wonderful image and sound, looks like a delightful gathering of Sarah's.
It's a bore of a journey across there which we do make for Revival and visiting No2 Daughter and family in Kings Hill, but too far for a half day jolly for me.

Aboyne to Nithbank near Thornhill today. Just North of Dumfries. Over Glen Shee, terrible congestion at Perth during to major works on the A9. Lost about 20 minutes.

Then a blast down the A74M, and onto the A702 to Thornhill. The 702 is a great driving road

.Fantastic scenery winding and undulating, but easy flowing, with hardly any traffic. Bonus.

Tomorrow we head home but severe delays on the A1M at Wentbridge due to bridge repairs mean a detour over the final 20 miles.

First trip of the year for us this weekend. Left late afternoon Friday and drove to Arbroath over the b974 cairn o mount, its a great route for a Morgan if you're in the area. Overnight stay at Brucefield b&b (highly recommended, just bring a cover for the car to protect from the tree sap!!) then onto Glamis castle and gardens for the day. Home via Glenisla and Glenshee road. Another scenic route but awful road surface in places😬.
