Ditto, I too don't get a free copy

No way am I laying out money for a magazine I don't know the quality of even if I like the subject. Normally I'd buy an issue or two before making that decision.

The email looks a bit amateur too. Post a cheque, I hardly write any these days.

I was quietly confident as I completed the survey fairly soon after Salcombe's original posting, but have had the email this morning to tell me that "unfortunately, your name was not selected" (noted that it didn't say that I wasn't in the first 100?)

Don't think that I will subscribe yet, may live to regret it, but I share Nick's concerns.......or is it just sour grapes!

Thanks for the heads up, I've just found the email trapped in the VirginMedia spam filter. No luck for me either. I'm very suspicious about this too. I got my request in (having worked out the blank fields dodge) before anyone had replied to this topic.

As mentioned, the email says: "Unfortunately, your name was not selected for one of 100 free 12 month subscriptions we pledged to give away... But the website explicitly says: The first 100 people to complete the following survey will be rewarded with a years free subscription to "MOG". Nothing about a "selection" process.

In fact, if you haven't already taken it the survey is still open. It seems a bit dodgy to me.

Hmmm.......may be I'll hold on and wait. It is...or certainly looks...a factory initiative but judging how one or two things have been badly mismanaged recently with my friend GeoMog and his Plus4, I'd not be surprised if its all a bit Micky Mouse.

I got the 18 month offer and do not like to deal with anyone that will not accept credit card through a secure site as a means of payment, this provides security as if the contract isn't fullfilled you are entitled to a refund from the Credit Card company. It is the only way to pay, especially for holidays as you do not need to worry about refunds if they fail but pay in full by the card!

I got the 18 month offer as well, despite respoding to the 100 offer survey very quickly. I will not be taking their kind offer, before I see a few issues, if I can buy it in the news agents.
