It’s been far too long since I’ve had the Aero out (about 8 weeks), so I popped home lunch time to blow the cob webs off, to my horror on lifting the bonnet to disconnect the charger, I noticed most of the foam seal that surrounds the bonnet air intake had been eaten away, mice!!!! scared

I then move to check the cars inertia, & yes you guessed it more evidence, luckily I can find damage, but I haven’t had the time to fully check…… I am surprised it/they found a way into the cabin!?

Now it’s been 3 weeks since we had our beloved ginger tom Garfield put to sleep (RIP Garfield), seems way too much of a coincidence, I said I wouldn’t have another cat, but…… swear

Needless to say I didn’t get to drive the Aero today; I was too worried about it/them still being in the car, didn’t fancy explaining to my insurance company how I ended up going through a hedge backwards, whilst shooing a mouse of my lap!!

Checked your car lately?

You need to get some poison baits and put them near where you think they might be.
I hope they haven't chewed up any wiring !!!!!!

Although I can understand your reluctance, I would feel that same about our cat (for hire for mice catching BTW) but I think you know what needs to be done. Either a humane mouse catcher (they like biscuits I understand) or THE ultimate predator is required.

I had mice ruin a small tractor motor on me. They built a nest between a metal cover plate and the cylinder case. When I drove the tractor the engine overheated and blew a valve... nasty little rodents didn't give any warning.
The cat is the best option... then again, my fox terrier caught a mouse for me this past weekend.

My neighbour had a Cessna that he flew from his farm strip, mice got into the cabin and wreaked havoc, needless to say when asked if I would like to go up for a spin I suddenly remembered I'd 'left a pan of milk on the stove' and left smartly scared

I check my car regularly - garage not connected to house so it's pretty much the same temperature as outside. Not had a problem - yet!
