Five minutes to deadline yesterday I ordered a Plus 4 (LHD, Km/h). Feels great to have taken the decision (efter my ignominious M3W turnaround). I think it is a excellent solution (to fully enjoy until I have seen, driven and most important can afford the new 3,7l Roadster...or maybe I do not need one laugh2). Delivery in mid April....77760 minutes to go.

My last five British cars have been three BRG and two red ones so now I will go for style: Ivory (Sport White) with tan leather, not really shouting racing...but I think I can take it wine

- Black wire wheels with spare
- Chrome grill with mesh
- Overriders
- Bonnet strap (tan)
- MotoLita (14", wooden, riveted, 3 round holes/spoke)
- Door pockets
- Clock
- Sun wisors (more as wind deflectors...well, not sure...but easily removed if not working or messing up the looks).
- Easy up hood in black (pvc, standard), would love a mohair hood (for looks) but the maintenance makes it a no brainer (the seagulls are like Stukas in my area...) surrender
- Side screen bag, black (pvc)
- Tonneau, black (pvc)
- Luggage rack (with space for side screens).
- External door handles, reclining sports seats, black carpets with edging matching interior (all are standard if I understood it right).
- (No mounted Tread Rubbers)

And then maybe adding after arrival: sports system, Lucas spot lamps, white indicator lenses (front), Morgans script badge (rear), chrome internal mirror, anti scratch film on side sills, period luggage bags...(bought a lottery ticket today so I guess finance is solved).

Everyone, thanks for your help notworthy oldgit

Just 77759 minutes left.../Tony

Lovely spec Tony, though we are sorry to loose you to the 4-wheeled brigade! hide

Thanks! It really feels great to have put the foot down and signed the contract...hopefully I will soon know what you all are talking about - the feeling of driving and owning a Morgan happy3

Interesting, is it mainly the engine/gearbox or the chassie that needs time? I understand that the first service "tightens up the bits a bit" and that you afterwards can enjoy the pedal a bit more enthusiasticly.

Strangely enough we were reviewing colours last night and whilst we confirmed our choice we do keep looking at Ivory with tan leather. It is a very classic combination that looks great on the car.
I have to tell you that I spent the time between ordering the car and when it finally went into build (this week) reviewing and refining the options. We did not change the colour choice but the option list did grow a little laugh2 . All part of the fun and anticipation I guess.
I will look forward to swapping impressions with you after you have taken delivery.
Good luck with the lottery ticket.

Ivory/tan feels like a good choice for me. I saw it live in the showroom and I just couldn't stop looking at it. Thought a little about Teal - a fantastic background for white racing roundells...maybe next Morgan (but Almond Green is also lovely). Are Ivory and Sports White the same nyance? The option list is evil...it seems to sort of grow by itself...I started with a empty 4/4 and ended up with a well armed Plus 4 without really understanding what happened. I complimented the seller by telling that he must be a really good salesman, he replied that "I have only been answering your questions...".
Maybe I should order the extras before the lottery draw - have a good feeling about this...
Yes, let's compare impressions, already looking forward to that tread!

It will be a very long 77760 minutes

Thanks, the next challenge is to find the proper suitcase! Found some really battered old Alu-Rimowas at the German Ebay thinking Minutes are pretty slow at the moment...maybe I should start counting seconds instead?

Yes, the Three Wheeler at my dealer sort of talks to me like a luring siren seductress when I come close to it...maybe I need one of them to...Three Wheeler that is (already have siren swmbo)

M3W,
Re freeing out -- The engine / gearbox for sure, but I also noticed about the same time that the ride seemed less harsh(mind you I changed the rear shocks for Rutherfor AVO's) and it just seemed that it wanted to be driven harder!! -- that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!!!!!!

Enjoy!

Mark (at the factory)assured us that Sports Ivory and Sports White are identical. We had colour samples of actual paint that had been used on cars in our hands at the time. We certainly could not see any difference between those that were marked in Sports Ivory and those that were marked Sports White. Perhaps it is a name change that took place when Morgan changed paint suppliers.

I think that Sports White and Sports Ivory is identical. Royal Ivory seems to be a bit darker than Sports ivory. I like both colors so far but personally I would tend to go with Sports ivory. Those nuances may be dependent where someone lives. I saw a Royal Ivory Morgan in bright sun light near Pisa last year in May, it looked fantastic. Here in Germany (less intensive sun light) Sports Ivory looks a bit fresher in my view.

Great, thanks for that confirmation, then I will sleep even better tonight (this weekends 72 hour Morgan internet surfing still takes its toll). cloud9

This Mog-disease is very contagious Tony, imagine you can have your Plus 4 in Sports White and your 3W in Sports Ivory! tumbleweed

Will copy your excuse innocent and seriously consider those AVO's, just need to test drive first. Still never driven a Morgan...my last "German-354hp-450Nm-thing" was pretty enjoyable....but it is great to be back in driving with style again uk drive

Great idea! From what i have understood it has been done very successfully before - using the same nyance in both three & four wheeled Morgans...lovely notworthy! By the way...does the disease start with a itching right foot drive
