@ Shiremog: walnut dashboards always have a glovebox-lid - don´t you worry! I have seen pictures of walnut dashes without the lid. I'll find out on Monday!

This is a shot off the Geneva Show... Be prepared ... Out of a US Mustang...sometimes nature is cruel. Well, there is something for sure missing in front of the steering wheel. But I dont even think a nice mechanical clock can save it...or a pair of stylish stop watches (a la Plus4 SS). The only solution is to dress the area with the flower ornamented photo frame showing SWMBO (at least then you will get something positive out of it....hopefully  )

dry weight .. how much additional weight is things like oil, coolant etc etc.

OR, One could, perhaps, mount a Satnav in that BIG blank space, between those odd looking switches/warning lights... Just a thought Great idea!! The challenge will be to find one that looks a little bit vintage
