It used to be standard on Mogs. My 94 car had one & my 97 car has one behind the drivers seat.
GoMog has wiring diagrams for those date cars if you need one. Thanks John, will check wiring diagram.

What is really needed is a small under dash panel with at least two usb charging ports for satnav and telephone. I have searched all over the net and can't find such a simple and obvious thing.

Peter, I solved this in my plus4 but not in that way. First I have a Sony radio which has a front USB port I connect my phone to this. It charges the phone and handles incoming calls etc - has an external mic which I have mounted on the binnacle behind the steering wheel. The phone works well through the radio and conversations are perfectly possible up to about 80Kph without the other party knowing you are in the car!!!
Second issue, the sat nav -- I rigged up a charging socket direct to the battery with an inline fuse. I drilled a small hole in the panel behind the seats and this socket normally sits on the floor beside the transmission tunnel on the passenger side. It has two functions a) to attach the battery optimiser, but also provides a safe power source for the sat nav
It would be neat to have this under the dash, but this solution is very satisfactory for me
Cheers!

Peter, Now that I think about this further, you could mount a"cigarette" type socket under the dash and use a double USB charger plugs in it. The plug is like this http://store.apple.com/uk/product/H2664ZM/A?fnode=MTY1NDA4NACheers!

Probably half the quality too Robbie!
I have hard wired a triple cigar socket into the big red key switch, so only on when car is powered. This sits in my 'glove box', but there is no lid on mine. It's also possible to get them with two cigar sockets and one or two usb sockets.
Neil, going back to your light - have been out in the garage this morning (prepping things for tomorrow's trek to Llangollen Motor Museum) and my handbrake lightis the same as yours - the one on the left. The middle lamp is wired, but I'm now trying to think whether I've ever seen it illuminated.
Meanwhile, this morning's check has revealed some service items for next month...
Cheers,

Thanks Robbie, that looks like a neat solution.

Middle lamp should be brake failure/handbrake.
The handbrake switch tests the bulb and on mine - the brake failure is a fluid level alarm, but I changed the master cylinder to a later type. Possible something else failing on the original master cylinder triggered it before.
But to be honest, I'm one of the annoying types to whom electrical things come naturally, just give me an AVO and I'm off!

Thanks Graham, looks as though it is going to remain a bit of a mystery. Guess I should put it back in when I change the dash! Neil.
