I am heading upto the factory next months in my S1 Aero so interested to know of the best roads around the area to have a drive.

I heard the A44 heading towards Malvern is pretty good and there are some good roads in the hills.

Any pointers gratefully received.

They're all crap. If you want a decent drive head for Cumbria.

Better than Cumbria is the far north of Scotland - much less traffic up there.

However, there are some nice roads around the Cotswolds...

Suggest a copy of: "The Best Rides Motorcycle Atlas". Not large scale, but it is easy to read with waterproof and tear proof pages (ideal for Morgans!).

I could put a list together, but not until next week...

Cheers,

I'll second Cumbria...well it was the land of my birth so Gods Country....but I'll also second the far north and west coast of Scotland!

Getting back to reality for Neil, if you don't want to get too far away from the factory, there is a nice circular route which takes in some nice roads and a nice pub or two...and holders if you want to look at some motoring goodies! The A44 from Powick just south of Worcester up to Bromyard is a nice road with some nice bends, views and a good run up over Bringsty Common and down to Bromyard (nice pub up there on the common, the Live and let Live although its down a rough track which can be a challenge to a Morgan!) Holdens is on the left just before reaching Bromyard. There's a selection of roads taking you back towards the west side of the Malvern Hills, aim for Ledbury which is a nice place to drive through in a Morgan and then take the A449 back up over the hills by British Camp ( another nice watering hole opposite the car park up there) and then drop back down to Malvern.

Wake up gentlemen you have forgot the best NORTHUMBERLAND I am a lucky lad equal miles to Cumbria , Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland and the Durham moors . I have the lot on my door step . But Northumberland is stunning if you know the roads to take it takes your breath away local pubs good beer good food and no bloody traffic . Roads to yourself. Now all I want is a loan of a Mog HINT HINT. ( and it fell on deaf ears ) drive

Lovely up there - and usually quieter than Cumbria...

Neil - A44 all the way from Oxford to Worcester isn't too bad (certainly better driving than sitting on m/way and dual carriageway).
