As I feared, the dash is another step worse from the previous one. I can understand that using the matched gauges will save money, but if it costs sales then it's not good business.
Seeing that - I've taken a couple of steps back from it.

What I really do want to see is the sump clearance.....please......

If that's no better, then I'll be staying with my Series 1 for now.

Hi Dave,
Sump clearance is a lot better. Couldn't measure it but I would say it is probably eaqual or better than the clearance of the plus4 sump.
The offset is that the knee clearance is less. The tunnel at the handbrake is wider, probably to accomodate a bigger clutch/bellhousing
cheers J

Morgan talk of the "endless possibilities" of the bespoke Morgan. Would it not be possible to specify the old style dash (at a price of course).

You can see from this photo how bulky the transmission is on the new Roadster.

there really doesn't seem to be much width for the footwell .. I wonder how this affects placement of pedals, and the effect on the driving experience

Put both legs down the same trouser leg for the simulation....

Actually, being 'thin' and short, this aspect doesn't bother me. But if you have calves like a Sumo, it may get sweaty.

@ 1560: "my" dashboard re-design is "brained" already (and, beside others, incorporates a superbe "classic flight" smiths rev counter + oil pressure and -temp gauges (already "in my stock" :)) sherlock

@ Heinz: new 3,7 is announced at 950 kgs, same (announced) weight as former 3,0´s... thumbs

@ Shiremog: walnut dashboards always have a glovebox-lid - don´t you worry! thumbs

Are you using MK for the re-designed dash, Numog ?

Fantastic. Good luck,Numog. I am sure the finished results will look excellent. I look forward to seeing some pictures cheers

Hopefully MK will come to the rescue in the future with a dash option for the 3.7.
