When I switch on the hazard warning lights with the ignition switched off the engine oil pressure warning light also illuminates with the hazard warning light on the rev counter.

With the ignition switched on and or with the engine running it does not.

Will a few others check if there car is doing the same.

I'm a bit concerned that I may have a minor wiring issue which might disable the oil pressure warning light.

It's not reflecting from inside the gauge is it? When this happens it's usually a dodgy earth.

Hi Ivanford, just checked my Sept 2011 plus4 and no oil light on, with hazards on.

Sorry Ivanford assumed you were talking about your plus4 SS.

It's on the three wheeler, I just want some one else to check if it's the same on their trike.

Similar on mine M3W:

When I switch on the hazard warning lights with the ignition switched OFF, the engine oil pressure warning light illuminates steady and the hazard warning light twinkles. (separate lamps)

With the ignition switched ON the engine oil pressure warning also illuminates steady.
(warning hazard on or off)

I have not tested with the engine running, but I suppose the engine oil pressure warning light is turned off... sherlock (to late hour to wake up everybody!)

Thanks Herman, that makes me confident that they are all like this and that I don't have a problem.

Ivanford, I think the correction is you do have a problem...and they are all like that.

It's these little things that worry me when it comes to Morgan ownership. I'm all about putting up with these little things...but here in the States it would be a 400mi trip to get my 3W serviced by a trained technician - is it worth it? Hardly.

Hi Utah
I don't even have a dealer here!!
If I need a dealership I have to put the car on a ferry over to the UK mainland (very expensive).
Luckily the M3W isn't a very complex vehicle, almost a motorcycle with three wheels.
But you are absolutley correct, all these little issues should not be present in these vehicles.

why not??? part of the whole "charm" that makes a MOG stand out of the crowd!!!
MMC has less employees than Toyota has secretaries for their reliability-engineers

On the whole I'd rather my Morgan stood out from the crowd because of the good things about it, not because of the faults it has (had).
