Hi all (especially Dave W),
Anyone know how much oil I should be able to get in my diff? Car is a 2005 roadster.
It seems to hold more than I expected......

If you recall Nick it didn't quite fill the ice cream container, which is 2 litres. You did remember to replace the drain plug? grin2
It takes forever to fill because the oil is viscous. Stick your little finger in the level hole and you should feel the level.

Thanks Dave; helpful as ever. I'm not clever enough to have worked out the ice cream thing! I am, though, clever enough to be going to the Factory on Saturday to try a 4/4 2 Litre.
Please pray for sunshine!
Thanks again
Nick

Aha! the 4/4 2L. It sounds like I'm always moaning, but I do wish that was available bespoke without the black grille and bonnet stripes. Never satisfied eh?
The factory opens Saturdays now?

Factory showroom open by appointment on Saturday mornings, the factory employ a full-time salesman so make him earn his corn smirk2

Dave, you could have a 2L 4/4 and pay extra for a standard chrome grille and de- stickered bonnet!

I'm sure the stickers being vinyl will come off with care. A bit of Nitromors on the grill and I bet its the standard grill underneath!

Actually we haven't yet had a report on the forum of a drive in the 75th Anniversary 4/4 so Nick......please!!

Geomog had one as a courtesy car from the factory when they had his car for a while to sort out his fuse problem......he loved it!

I think Aero Racing has a red 75th Anniversary 4/4 as a loaner. When I saw it a month ago it was very dirty, which they where quite apologetic about.

Oh! If the stickers a vinyl you can heat them with a hair drier and they will come off quite easily. Panel beaters obviously use a hot air gun but the principle is the same.

Edit Reason: stickers

Yes...about the same time Geomog handed the car back to them!

I have a +4 (2004) Duratec, I replaced the diff oil last month with 1 litre of EP90, is that enough?
