Does anyone have any recommendation for reasonably priced garage storage units? I'm looking for something with doors and ideally that is offered in low (counter height) and full size (wardrobe) units.

Any suggestions?

I fitted out my garage with second hand kitchen units, most of which I got for nothing. They make excellent storage units and work benches.

That is an option, albeit not my first choice. I have done that route before and found they tend to delaminate unless you have a heated garage.

Simon,
This may sound a bit obvious but are there any local auctions near you? I would attend one here from time to time (it is a weekly auction where ordinary Joe's bring their pruck)and stuff sells really cheap. Quite often there's all manner of small business clearance etc. There's bound to be similar across the pond. Always worth a look. Some of it looks almost new and quite often is.

Steel cabinets and oak tabletops - works well even in cold garages - like mine.

John, steel was the route I was thinking - with powder coating. I found a few sites but as you suggested, it get expensive very quickly.

Mark, that is a good idea - hadn't thought of that. I'll take a look and see if there are any auction / sale rooms local.

Simon,

Have you had a look around your office to see what metal stationary cupboard might need replacing wink

Or alternatively try a second hand office suppliers you'll be surprised what you can find.
