A while ago I asked for recommendations on car cleaning products. Carplan Demon Shine seemed to come out with top marks so I bought some of the pouring version (on offer at 2 for1 at Halfrauds). Having used it now on both the tin-top and the Mog I must say I have been pleasantly surprised by the results. Thanks to those who recommended it. thumbs

I was so impressed by the results on 1560's MTW I got some Collinite 845 wax, that seems to be pretty good too, and less than half the price of the Swisswax I had been using. Doesn't smell as nice, though :-)

Dear all

I am trying something I found on the net called "Showroom Shine". Whilst it has a bit of a noddy name it does seem to be very good. It is essentially Conubia wax in some sort of carrier which allows it to be sprayed on with an applicator.

Its advertised as a waterless wash/wax however I wash my car first.

Have to say its easy to use just spray on rub with a microfibre cloth, allow to dery then buff off with a mit.

I have no affiliation with this company.

Cheers

Chris

Hi guys,

There are lots of great products to use if your looking at a quick detailer. I wouldn't recommend demon shine as its not a good product. Meguires make some good products that work well on Morgans.

Wash and Wax anywhere which is amazing if you are going to a show or meet because when you arrive you can detail the car without the risk of scratching the paintwork.

If your Morgan is already clean then use this product.

If you are looking for an amazing wax then use Auto Finesse spirit. it has a 6 months durability and you can layer it to.

Again there are loads of products that work well but i use these and they are great. I have loads of tips on detailing Morgans to if you need help.

Happy Mogging

Henry

In your opinion; how do you compare Meguires products with my trusty favourite Autoglym?
I have not used Meguires, but may consider a change when I need to get more stocks in.

Also, I have a can of Stardust Eclat, which I find really good for tidying up the car when away from home. Again, hve you used it and what are your thoughts?

Thanks

Bud

Meguires yacht products are superb, I started using them in '86 on the advice of Moody Yachts, I started using their car products fairly recently also very good. Nice to see a professional thinks they are good. I used to use Autoglym not a lot of diffrence, Meguires i think is fractionally easy to use and fractionally better

the wax : http://www.riwax.com/ ... and the result

every winter, I spend 2 hours and the finish is really good smile
What is more the wax is cheap (CHF 20.-) and very easy to apply
