Hi can any one advise how do I check the oil level on the gearbox of a 2002 4/4. After a 40 mile run I find a small amount of oil on the garage floor relative to the rear end of the engine compartment below the chassis cross member.

I think your filler/level plug is on the right. You need to get under the transmission tunnel cover (leather?). You should find an access plate (or rubber bung) in the side of the tunnel - the level plug should be under that.

More detail should be on GoMog or Morganatica.

Dave W, checked his gearbox oil a few years ago and did a post and photos. They would be found under Roadster maintenance or something similar.
