Came past the VW garage in Durham city today and out in front of me was a Smart car Nothing odd about that I hear you say .
This one was, it had been covered with false grass as an ad for a firm that sells a plastic imitation . The full lot except the lights , reg , windows and 2 door handles . It looked like a mobile lawn going down the road and the kids on the roadside stood gob smacked pointing . Could not help thinking do you cut it or wash it. or if you make a claim saying you had a roll in the grass with the passenger and now she has a bump .

A number of years ago, " Broadway Joe" Namath the legendary American football player was interviewd on TV as to what he thought of his team's move from playing on a grass surface to astroturf

Interviewer:

" JOe, what do you prefer, grass or astroturf?"

JOe N: Don't know man, I've never smoked astroturf"

innocent

Funny you mention that, I was on the M20 and coming the other way was a Smart car done up like the children's character The Gruffalo...

I wish I'd been able to get a photo because it did make me smile!
