I can't see the year of the cars tated anywhere. If you don't have them already how about fitting the steering bearings offered byTechniques in the UK. I enquired and they state they raise the front by half an inch and to maintain the ride height you had to fit lowered springs, so use the existing ones and your sorted at the front. drive

Have a look at these tyre sizes.

Can I ask why you need more hight?

Is it because your suspension bottoms out on bumpy roads?

Maybe stiffer springs.
My springs are to soft for fast driving on bumpy roads I will be upgrading to 180lbs from 95lbs with AVO shocks as recommended.

Or is it a sump/ gear box cross member rubbing the ground?

Most rally sports cars have bash plates to protect to underside of the car would this be another alternative.
I'm fabricating one for my 4/4sport having been hung up on a gravel roads with grass centre and speed humps (gearbox cross member).

Suggest you might want to wait just a little longer for the rising rate springs, which if not already announced, will be any time now...

Cheers,

Thank you Graham,

Do you think they will stop me bottoming out on bumpy roads at speed?

There will be different rates available. So, you should be able to get what you need.
Best talk to your dealer.

I know one of the consultants who worked on the project, as far as I'm aware the news is already public... But, I haven't seen anything on dealer's web sites yet (not that I've been looking too hard).

Yes it is the gearbox cross member and various ends of bolts that hang down in the center of the car.

I am planning on finding a really level pavement (not easy) and trying to make some accurate measurements. As the car is brand new I have already refered the problem to the factory, but I need to get absolutely acurate measurements to confirm my so far rough measurements.

My real question was to those who have fitted 195/65 tyres and if they had any problems.

Interesting that my 2011 4/4 suspension tended to bottom out on country roads. However since fitting the Techniques AVO's it has not done so at all. (no change to the springs)
Well pleased with that.

Peter, I run 195/65/15on my Plus Four and can't say that I have experienced any problems. It was an accidental order but I think I'll continue to use them.

For anyone interested I have used http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp to create a chart of comparison between the standard tyre sizes quoted by Morgan in the user manual plus the 195/65 variation. You can look at it if you are interested. http://bradley.it/public_images/Tyre%20sizing.pdf

To sum it all up variations in axle centre height based on the tyres alone are: 4/4 12.69in or 322.32mm, Plus 4 12.10in or 307.34mm, Roadster 12.34in or 313.43mm, 195/65R15 12.49in or 317.24mm

In theory this means that the Plus 4 has the lowest ride height followed by the Roadster and that the 4/4 has about 15mm or more than half an inch more ground clearance than the Plus 4.
