Hi, guys. This little thread is about nothing more than my Sunday visit to 3wheelerville, aka Talk Morgan, to check in briefly and say howdy, cheers, and give the secret 3W handshake.

Just dropped in to catch up with my missing-wheeled comrades and your burgeoning stable of new-and-lovable quasi-cars, now appearing in garages and on public roads at a staggering clip.

When last I checked in, I had substituted a new MX-5 Miata with a power folding hardtop, hoping to relegate my love for the 3W to the past. But last week, after two months with the Miata, I realized that it dismally failed to suit my character (or vice versa). So, I traded that car with just 2K miles for a new Fiat Abarth (which. not being a cabrio. now requires driving with my head out of the window to achieve the desired battering). With just 300 miles on my born-in-México Abarth, I'm feeling surprisingly happy and thinking this might be a good fit.

And in a rebellious moment. given the right mix of alcohol and time-of-month, I might pay homage to the still-in-my-head 3Wheeler by adding a token MOG or shark smile decal to my Abarth somewhere among its seemingly-infinite bevy of pre-affixed Scorpion badges. As a consolation, too, the exhaust note of the Abarth nicely approximates the 3W's sweetly raucous rumble, but without the latter's distinctive chiropractic thump.

Will check in periodically to live vicariously through your stories, so don't forget me quite yet. Looking forward to getting some behind-the-wheel time once the 3W lands here. Meanwhile, I'm happy to read the good news stories of your many new arrivals, and the entertaining posts of many familiar personalities – cheerio!

Steve

I am going to match your fabulous grammar and use of the english language in a few weeks with my review of the M3W- it is in production. Just wait for the mouth-waterin', Texas-teasin', mother-of-all burger reviews comin' your way. englandwave

The ride of the Abarth is good training for a Morgan. Incredible as it may seem we found the Morgan more comfortable than the "modern" Abarth with its low profile tyres. Mind you I am comparing it with a four wheeler not an M3W.

Personally I found the interior noise (lack of sound insulation) of the Abarth unacceptably high for a tin top but it was a fun car to drive.

Have fun while you wait for the M3W thumbs

Thanks, guys, for the hellos and hi-fives. I've missed my Talk Morgan buddies.

Hilarious! Greatly looking forward to your review. Never yet been teased by a Texan – hope it's not done with a cattle prod. wink

You know, we remade the Abarth substantially for America, just as we did with the 3W! Both are now proper cars. somestick

I hope that doesn't mean you've retuned the suspension to be bouncing, soggy mush that won't go around corners laugh2 !

Good to see you are still popping back in Steven thumbs
