25 years ago today I purchased the mog . Never gave it a thought at the time, that I would own a car that long. Every other car I owned had been treat like a bad date . Can't put my finger on what the magic is but it must have a lot to last as long and it just seems to have flown over so quickly . love wine

Happy Anniversary. I hope I'll be able to say the same in 24 years time.

Just think, MMC had only been making the 4/4 for 50 years when you bought it !

Congratulations, Jack, from another long-time owner. It may have to do with the fact that we know literally every nut and bolt on our cars by their first name - and in my case that my wife loves it even more than I do.

Long term ownership is GOOD.

I thought it was only me that was cracking up glad to see I am not alone the mog has become part of the family . I said to one bloke I know the mog like the back of my hand , his reply was you must be mad , and yes my wife loves it too , that makes life one hell of a lot more easy she even brings my tea out into the garage on a tray .

That would be a highly polished silver tray?

I've made 22 years on two MG's, but when the flame burns out it's time to move on and not look back.
That's me being a bit philosophical.... smirk2

That makes 7 years with RiTA (name kindly supplied by Jays) on 20th July seem kinda short!
The only things tha have beaten it were nearly 13 years with the Range Rover Rally Recovery Unit and 16 with my R100RT (which I still miss...).

Did you put this in the Aero 8 section to wind up all those whose cars haven't existed for more than 12 years JT??? laugh2

Cheers,

Cheers,
A bit like you Graham. We have always kept cars for years. It used to be until they rusted away, now it is until they just look to shabby. However, A11OGE has now been with us for 7 1/2 years and although I have looked at more recent versions (in fact I was in SGT on Thursday - and none of the 11 Morgans in there shock ooo me ), I look forward to driving it every time. love
