Hi Guys,
I've been lurking on here for a while now, doing my homework to a degree, about all things morgan,getting as much information as possible before i actually get out there and start looking,at the moment though i am trying to sell my 1987 Mercedes Sl to help fund my next purchase, hopefully a Morgan,still undecided on which one though,
I show my Mercedes,and people ask me what will you have next then,when i say i really quite fancy a Morgan there is a very sharp intake of breath and,what do you want one of those for,had one of those, terrible, like a damn rollerskate ,my god terribly harsh ride,you get the drift,
this certainly does'nt put me off, each to there own i say,
Just they cant be that bad surely,all the comments ive read on here ,seems to me once you've tried one theres no going back ,
so with that we are of to Southport this weekend,just so happens that the hotel is'nt a million miles away from Lifes.
Oh look dear, a Morgan Dealer!,lets just have a look.

Colin. I've been through this mental exercise too! I've owned some interesting cars over the past few years and a Morgan seems at the other end of the scale to most of them.... But I'd say this..... Have I truly enjoyed owning supercars? Um, a bit. But they're too wide for country lanes, their performance can NEVER be exploited (unless you like prison food) on the motorway. So I didn't really drive them. What do I really want a 'fun' car for? Zooming around my corner of Surrey, going to the pub, picking my son up from school, avoiding motorways. Do I honestly care about some negative comments? All my cars had some kind of image issue, footballers car, nouveau riche car.... You name it, any car will have it's detractors. Usually from people driving a rusty old barge. Morgan's have great residuals, super strong in fact. Get one!

I also had all kind of "special" cars. They are (nearly) all gone but the Morgan is still with me after 45 years. Doesn't that say it all?

All I can say is the Aero I have is a great compromise of handling and comfort for something with such short suspension travel. Short of a car with a good air suspension installation (my daily drive) I have felt few sports cars that make me consider the Aero uncomfortable.
If you are talking about a Trad then I would assume it comes down to good maintenance being performed at the right time and possibly a switch to adjustable shockers to finesse it ? It is not the most modern car but the few I have been in were generally pretty good.
I have also been in a last generation BMW 5-series on run flats and would never wish that on anyone. Ditto an A6 on SLine sports suspension and 20" rims. Total rubbish.

Hi and welcome. exactly 12 months ago i had a test drive in a Morgan traditional car. 3 months later i took delivery of my new first ever Morgan car. 2 months after that we spent a wonderfull weekend in hastings with the South East centre and the French owners club. 2 weeks ago we returned from France after what can only be described as a life long memorable experience with the French Morgan owners club. 57 Morgans one behind the other driving accross the wonderful French countryside. I had never driven on the wrong side of the road before but we are planning to go again and again.
Morgan owners and morganeering is a whole way of life and a whole new familly.We had tremendouse storms going to the eurotunnel and beautiful sunshine in france, no rust only sunburn.
JUST HAVE THE TEST DRIVE AND GET A MORGAN, YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT.

I recently requested a quote for a Morgan 4 seater from the NHS lease car department. (well, it appeared on their price quote website dropdowns!) but they politely advised me that they werent able to provide one for me.
More fool them; a car that can be sold at the end of the lease contract for not much less than was paid for it seems to make good sense. My 4/4 sport is my company car (well, ok it's my company) and because french company car tax is emissions based it's a tax efficient choice. I know it's tough, but sometimes in business one has to make these sort of decisions.

Hi again,
Well thats certainly made my mind up,actually our minds up,we visited Lifes at Southport,and well what can i say,we were made very welcome by Dave and his father,although he was quite busy he gave us some of his time going over the different models and engine variants,we had never actually looked at a Morgan close up before never mind having a sit in a few,look around ,opening bonnets etc,wonderful,
and the best part of it my other half absolutely loves them,and actually said why dont you go for a new one,i nearly fell over,
but got to get this Merc sold,the market is very slow at the moment and i dont want to literally give it away for the sake of it,
I must admit a new plus four does appeal,as you can have it built to your own spec,
patience patience i know.
