The Photoshop Car Creator is very useful innocent Unfortunately remaking the 6,5" takes more time... If going coloured wires.. maybe it should be without the spare. thinking

Well done Tony. A really classic look but for me I think I would stay with chrome/polished stainless. I like the little touch of the reflection of the headrest in the LH mirror.

By the way I measured under the rear guard (above the wheel)and get a guard width from the inner vertical panel to the outside edge of the guard of 287 mm

Tony - great looking concept. You should be working in the design team at Morgan.

But, a bit to much Mulberry for me. If I went for the Sport look I would keep the wheels black with a two eared spinner and no spare. I would certainly have the Mulberry interior as I am in love with this leather and I think it looks great in a black car (I would draw the line at a brighter red).I would go for chrome over riders, chrome mesh stone guard, chrome luggage rack and the old style stud hood. love So there would be plenty of chrome and the Mulberry to brighten up the black.

But then chrome wires would look great as well doh

Yeah! Go for it! cheers

Think of how good the classic Brit motorcycle looks in black and chrome. The Mulberry leather is great (but I would say that wouldn't I?). love

Carpet? Black I imagine.

The grill mesh adds a more finished look to the radiator grill.

Get a pair of stainless chassis rail covers too. They cover the exposed galvanised chassis rails that cross the floor just in front of each seat.

Don't worry, be happy. You will love it when you take delivery, whatever you decide. joy

laugh2 Would be great...but I think it takes a little bit more than to master: cut, paste, select and ctrl+u in Photoshop innocent

It sounds already as if you have narrowed down the scope...will be a gorgeous car and most important of all: it will be YOURS!

I skipped the radio and has not yet missed it (will use ear plugs from the mobile if in need of music on a long and boring journey (as if boring exist in a Morgan). What about sun visors? With or without tread rubbers? Do not forget the clock, I think it makes the dash look more "complete".

Some more on the Black/Chrome theme, a new "bespoke" 4/4 (sorry for the quality of pictures).

This is great fun Tony - we get to play the game without spending the money laugh

Great photos. I notice there are no badges on the rear panel on this car.

I agree with the recomendation for sunvisors and the clock.

Quicksilver: have you considered what kind of dash and steering wheel you would like? I like the walnut dash but I must say that the painted dash and standard black steering wheel look good in these photos.

The radio that Morgan installed in my car is the cheapest Alpine on the market (€89.99 in our local Media World) and does not have the important option of a remote control. In the Trad Morgan a remote control is essential as the radio is difficult to reach. If you get a radio you may well be better off get one fitted after you buy the car. At least insist they fit a model with a remote control if you order the car with a radio. We like having the stereo. Up to 50 mph it is quite useable, above that the wind noise tends to cancel it out.

Other options: round or rectangular mirrors (or just take what they give you and fit something better later) and a chrome backed internal mirror.

For the tread rubbers I first decided not to have them for that clean look then I changed my mind and had two fitted each side. I am a bit neutral about them. I have fitted two pieces of transparent self adhesive plastic over the "shoulders" of the running boards where your shoes can scuff the paint.

I agree that this game is terrific fun. But I have already put 10% of the price down and the rest will fall due soon enough scared

A clock is essential for me and I agree with you, Tony, that it does fill that rather empty void at the end of the drivers dash. Also, there is something very civilized about having an analogue clock in a car.

I love a wood dash and steering wheel. I have been thinking about the polished Tawny Ash for the dash - same as on the anniversary 4/4. I rather like this wood and the first 4 wheel Morgans used Ash, so it has historic connotations. Morgan have kindly confirmed that there is a piece of this wood with my name on it that they are holding for me. But then I also rather like the burr walnut you have in your car Peter, so this is also a possibility. So once again I am as yet undecided.

My dealer has talked me into the radio (or at least the wiring for one). He says its very useful and helps if I ever want to resell the car. Regardless of what he says I think a radio is desirable - its good to stay connected to the world. But I might just get the wiring for now and connect a radio with a remote later.

If I go for the Trad look then I will opt for tread rubbers. For me, Sport = no treads and Trad = treads (that even rhymes). What I don't like is mixing up the looks, ie; a flat back Sport model with treads, would not, I think, look right.

The chrome mirrors (inside and out) are essential for me, as well as the little side mounted tax disc holder.

For badges, I would ideally like only the Morgan script badge on the back and the +4 in the upper and lower quadrants of the cross on the Morgan bonnet badge.

I am likely to pass on sun visors. We don't get enough sun here in the UK and I prefer sunglasses.

I will go for door pockets. I am also interested in the leather trim detailing for the steering wheel and door handles - but I have never seen pictures of this feature. Does anyone have any comments?

I love the black 4/4 in your post Tony. But having those gorgeous chrome wheels and no tread rubbers looks not quite right to me.

If I went for the Sport look externally, the interior would be trad with Mulberry leather, wood dash and wheel, clock, door pockets.

The one other thing I would love to get if my budget could stretch to it is a hard top. I think they look great and I think it would make the Morgan very cosy in the winter.

I like the idea of the stainless chassis covers. I will have to look into that. I like the stainless door lock covers as well.

Phew!!!!!! stars

You're really getting in to the spirit of the game now cheers

What other car manufacturer allows you to make so many choices? Now you are almost on the home run. The next phase requires a certain amount of patience while you wait for delivery waiting

Yes, this is a very stimulating discussion laugh2 And us just having had delivery...maybe it is now pay-back time for all the help and hints from TM we had during our spec-the-car-rollercoaster-journey. But on the same time should you really listen to us...we are still in the early post delivery euphoria...maybe the ones that have had their cars for like 20 years or so are the ones to listen to oldgit

Cathing up with he posts I would like to comment:

A much easier way to measure than my way crazy2 The result are 299mm (and other side 302 mm), saying that most of the extra half inch on the 6,5"x15" are on the outside. The difference in radius on the wheels you mentioned seems to be correct (approx +15mm on the Avons).

Very much soo, I have to stop myself from being carried away and ordering another one. spend The car in the photos being a 4/4 I am not sure if they have badges at all? But it gives a very clean look.

I did not order any radio nor did I order any "extra wiring" but from what I can see from the photos from the build of my car the speaker cables seems to be there. Are the wiring there by default on all new cars? Fitting a radio/speakers of your choice afterwards should be pretty easy (maybe a bit cramped...) but of course includes also arranging with a usable (and good looking) antenna.

One of the reasons with buying my Morgan was to have time on my own "outside the connected world". Ignition on - mobile off innocent

Well if the global warming makes UK an all year round summer paradize...then you can always order the sun visors later.

I almost ordered them too... but I do not longer see the reason to have them covered up innocent
