Anyone driven at night?? Headlights are supplemented by glowing exhaust pipes despite the rush of cooling air...this blew the minds of a couple of guys who came to admire the car when I pulled into a pub last night.

You are not kidding. The heat from the engine is ferocious, but I have to say the heat shields on the exhausts work quite well.

Looks impressive. I noticed that there are baffles in the tailpipe, [Try pushing a long rod up the back end?], probably situated through the pipe, so there will be a fair bit of back pressure, which would cause this. I'm not sure if the same thing happens with bike engines?

I wonder if the baffles are responsible for the low bhp? Just a thought!

Certainly my bike exhausts have glowed in the dark. There's a lot of heat coming out of those 1 litre cylinders! It sounds as though a baffled silencer rather than a straighthrough is fitted which would explain the narrowness of the exhaust system...unless your probe is hitting the cat mesh scared
