Perkins - great diesel. A lot went into Land Rovers as aftermarket conversions...

A chap I know from my days living up in Scotland, fitted a 4.236 into his Range Rover. He needed to wear ear defenders to drive it ! Top speed was about 50mph, but it could pull a train off a track.....strange people these off-roadies....wanted to tell me about his winch and what he could pull out of a ditch, including his own car....

No worries, David. My only excuse is that when I am working I sometimes can't help but keep peeking at TM...big mistake because I carry my work stress into the forum, and also forget the gist of the thread..not a good formula.

We'd best get the Mogs out this weekend then David - fly the flag a bit... Though I think it will be more like raise the looking at the forecast...

I bet all you lot with the easy up hoods are very smug this year, but don't you worry, I will still soldier on with my trad hood...keeps me from putting up the hood at the slightest whiff of rain.
