Hi, sorry newb here, our M3W is supposed to being air freighted this week to CA, so having had my current car insurer (Liberty Mutual) decline to insure it, I looked up this forum to get some ideas. Quotes I'm getting for $45k value from Hagerty: $855 (considered an auto, not m/c), State Farm: $898 (as a m/c, $100k/300k, $500 deductable) but State Farm stated that insured must have a m/c license, my understanding, though information is hard to come by is that M3W doesn't need to have m/c license to drive in CA ... anyone know any different, or know where I can explicitly find government info on it (I can't find anything on CA DMV website) ... or have any idea how i can obtain quotes closer to those listed in this thread?

Also, I like the idea of classic car agreed value insurance, but what concerns me about those policies is that they all seem to say can't be used as a back up car, common, if I want to drive it to work occasionally for the fun of it or go get the groceries in it (and no, it wouldn't be daily driver), I want to be able to and know it's covered ... any words of wisdom from folks that have had this type of insurance for a while? thanks.

Also, can someone point me to the link for Grundy Worldwide (there was talk about a dropdown?? I went to Grundy Collector Car insurance website, filled out the form and they came back and said they couldn't insure just 1 classic car .... ???
