Hydrogen fuel cell buses have been running in Aberdeen for several years & the city now has 2 hydrogen fuel stations open to the public. The bus fuel station was not initially open to public but is now. There were 60 hydrogen vehicles scheduled to be in use in the city by end 2019

Richard implies that lead acid batteries dont last long but they can. A Varta battery lasted 19 years in my vintage Sunbeam with no voltage control only a cut out & on/off charge switch. Another Varta 13 years in a Bentley S3 with a dynamo.
