Interesting data Tim,
My i3 has an 8yr, 100,000 mile warranty on the battery to be 70% capacity & they expect the usable life to actually be 15yrs
IIRC, when I chopped in the last one at 3yrs, it was tested & showed way over 90 odd %
That's very interesting. I am quite keen on the idea of getting a used i3 in a couple of years. Are yours the Rex version? Do you mind if I ask what range does that give in real world use? And is it feasible to keep topping up the petrol tank on a long journey to keep using the generator in preserve charge mode, or is it just a one-time use?
Tim, I see jrt has replied too, but here goes...
Mine's also the 94Ah REx, official NEDC test gave 142.9 miles, I think WLTP was slightly better, in the real world best I get is 127.4 & I live in a very hilly area & like to make full use of potential 'acceleration'

Previous one was the 60Ah & I've done a few trips from Yorkshire to London & have come north purely on the REx with no problem
I bung it on charge when I get home each evening, easy peasy, you can even condition it via your phone in the morning so it's defrosted before you set off
I monitor leccy use & cost, plus the occasional hydrocarbon top-up and last year it did the equivalent of 136.9mpg
The BMW app to get & even send data to/from the car is clever too, if I pop out to a meeting & send the destination from the app to the car it will warn me if the range falls short & offer a route via charge points
