Yup, Stage One tune.
The LR Stage 1 only ran for a few short years. 109" SIII (LWB only) with restricted RR 3.5 V8. Easy to recognise as the recessed front between the wings had gone, to be replaced by a flush front, metal open mesh grille...
The restrictor was in its simplest form a smaller venturi plate under each carb, reducing the maximum air volume / flow. Many people removed them
. The Stage 1 also had full time four wheel drive (the first since the very early Series 1 s) - LR felt, probably correctly, that the torque from the 3.5 V8 in a part time 4x4 system would destroy the rear diff in short order.
The Stage 1 was also a bit of a test bed for the new coil sprung 110" (and later 90, actually 92.9" wheelbase) that were waiting in the wings...
