"Woke" is a term that I simply can not stand. It is yet another afro-Americanism that has worked its obnoxious way into our language and has become a catch-all for many diverse pressure groups.

While I am at it I have to say that I can't stand "Rap" in all its many forms. For me it has little to do with music and song.

While I am at it I will add another: I find the gratuitous and unnecessary use of the "F" word and expressions like "mother f***ker" in some so called "pop" music offensive. A few years ago one use of the word would have cost a radio station a big fine and sending it to air hundreds of times a day would have cost the loss of the broadcasting licence but today it seems everything is permitted as long as it is not seen a racist or offensive to LGBT people (who, as far as I am concerned, can do whatever they like in their own bedrooms),
